Lies of P is an edgy Soulslike we've been anticipating for some time now, and we've seen plenty of gameplay and even tried it for ourselves in the recently released demo. And yet, we just got our best look yet at the game as a whole in an unexpected yet appreciated nine-minute-long gameplay showcase.
Quite mysterious previously, we see a salvo of systems and an onslaught of mechanics, with everything from P's Legion Arm, Fable Arts, Groggy Status, P-Organ, and the intriguing option to Lie to desperate humans and descend further down the path of the Puppet detailed. It all looks fantastic, simply put, and we're counting down the days until its 19th September launch on PS5 and PS4.
What do you think of Lies of P? Did you get to try out the demo? Let us know if this one has caught your eye in the comments section below.

I've played the demo and i love it. Fresh of the back of steel rising this ticks all the boxes for me. The only little gripe i had was having to mess around with the camera settings more than any other game i can remember because it was giving me motion sickness..other than that its a day one purchase.
does the game run at 60 fps on ps5?
Honestly surprised by how much I enjoyed Lies of P. I can definitely see some inspiration from Bloodborne but at the same time, it offers something unique as well.
@Yoop Yes
Loved the demo so much, I had to stop playing and wait for the full game to come to enjoy it in all its glory.
Game was fantastic. The dodge took some getting used to but the clear love letter to bloodborne was great, loved the weapon building mechanic and the tone and asthetic of the game has me interested. Cant wait to dive it. The demo was all i needed to know i will get this game, so wont be watching the above video.
@Yoop it does, performance mode, looks good enough.
I liked the demo, on my wishlist.
Smooth controls, animations.
Glad this game is bad/boring because there are too many games anyway. Played the demo and was so relieved it's not yet another game to look forward to
This one looks amazing! How long is the demo guys? This and Lords of the Fallen are my most anticipated games this year.
There was a demo!? Queuing up now.
@naruball same here. After the first boss, I wanted to keep going and going but stopped myself. I was convinced already.
The demo has been brilliant so far. I was already convinced before playing it but sinking 4-5 hours into it has really solidified my decision that this is a day one game for sure.
I was loving the demo ,loved the art style ,graphics where good ,doing really well, then it turned into dark souls and I kept dying, over and over again, not for me.
@Yoop Not only does it do this, the demo seemed very very stable. I think by September this is going to be very polished.
Yep, i've already seen and played enough to know this is going to be a good game. The demo exceeded my expectations. What i will say is i feel like the parry mechanic and maybe the dodge need a bit of a fine tune. I'm sure it'll come out very polished by September
I have played the demo and enjoyed what I played.
One question though, can you transfer the save data from demo onto the game?
Wow, no Bloodborne relation mentioned in an article about Lies of P? Now, that's progress!
After playing the Demo, I find the game itself rather average, too much like Steelrising for my tastes, and quite less intriguing than the titans of the genre it's trying to emulate. Definitely not a day 1 purchase, but maybe I'll give it a try if I get it at a good discount later on.
Demo was fantastic. 👍🏼
Lies of p demo is really good.this game is going to be amazing.word up son
I still need to give the demo a try for myself, but from what I've seen of the demo from a streamer I regularly watch, it looks pretty good.
Fantastic game. I sense if you like Steelrising or other games of the genre you’ll enjoy this as it’s up there with the best imitators. Just because From is king doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy others attempts. Imagine if people quit enjoying clones of Castlevania after it arrived or Doom.
Demo has been brilliant for me. Will absolutely be playing this day one
This one is gonna be a banger for sure.
Demo was awesome.
I'm not feeling the demo the game feels a little generic too me
There’s a demo?! brb 💨
Ok I expected great graphics and slick gameplay, but graphics are just above average with no interactivity and gameplay while not awful, still feels clunky.
Maybe I'll give this demo an another run today though.
I skimmed thru the video, looks very impressive! Looking forward to playing the game in a few years for $20 New, or free with PS Plus.
Played the demo on PS5. Must agree with some other posts it seem very generic. Tries to use the DS style on the interface / mechanics which was quite fluid. If I compare it to the FF16 demo, boring as hell this was. The combat seemed fairly bland and generic. I did a back stab, but there was no animation?? Pi movement was good and his sword and armen functionrd well. The colour palette is dark colours, which made it hard to see the coppers. Some of them were strategically placed, so it made me think more before entering the side room. The coppers were easy to beat. Frame rate seemed to be good. Graphics wise, I thought this looks like a PS4 game. Not next gen. Probably be a good game. Personal opinion - I didn't like the actual style of the enemies / overall aesthetics; they looked bland. Like previously on another review FF16. I've got a big bagklog of other games GoW, Valhalla, Horizon FW, DL2, ERingbplus otherd and I have just purchase FF16. I'm giving this one a miss.
